Frequently Asked Questions

We offer half day (4 hour), 3/4 day (6 hour), and full day (8 hour) fishing charters aboard our 44ft Sportfishing vessel "Tailwalker 1" and our 26ft center console the "Tailwalker 2". 

The "Tailwalker 1" specializes in offshore and reef trips. 

The "Tailwalker 2" is the most versatile boat at the marina we offer inshore, deep bay wrecks, offshore, reef and tarpon trips (in season)

We also offer night time lobster trips aboard our 17ft Bullynetting boat the "Nightwalker"

these trips begin at 8pm and end at 12pm only in lobster season (august 6th- march 31st)

Mahi Mahi - The best time of year to target Mahi is the summer months starting in may and ending in September (Tailwalker 1 & Tailwalker 2)

Sailfish- Sailfish is our specialty aboard the Tailwalker 1 they usually start showing up at some point in November and at latest in December, we specialize in sight fishing and kite fishing depending on where they are pushing through. this season can run all the way through to April.

Tuna- there is a good chance to catch some tunas offshore throughout the year, and even a chance to get a few while live baiting for sailfish (Tailwalker 1 & Tailwalker 2)

Snapper-  We fish for a variety of snappers all throughout the year, a few of the species we target range from Yellowtails, Mangroves, and Mutton Snapper (Tailwalker 1 & Tailwalker 2)

Snook- our snook fishery here in the Florida Keys seems to be getting better and better, we have the potential to catch snook throughout most of the year but the best time to target snook is in the winter season. (Tailwalker 2)

Tarpon- Tarpon are one of the most sought after sport fish the Florida Keys has to offer, people from all over the world come to get a chance at experiencing a battle with the Silver King,. Peak Tarpon season is in-between the months of March 10th- June 30th. (Tailwalker 2)

Cobia- Cobia fishing tends to be better in the winter months down here in the Florida Keys, our 26ft center console offers the cobra adventure out on the gulf wrecks, where you can also catch all types of snappers, Goliath grouper, kingfish, sharks, permit, and the occasional African pompano

Swordfish- we swordfish throughout the year aboard the Tailwalker 1, if you would like the chance to head to the ledge and chase after the illusive Broadbill please contact us in advance so we can book the appropriate time for the trip. the moon phase has a lot to do with when your best opportunity to catch one of these beasts.

Our fishing trip packages include a licensed and seasoned guide, fishing licenses for your party, fishing gear, bait, iced down coolers, and plenty of water. please feel free to bring anything else you would like to eat or drink while on your fishing adventure.

No, our fishing trips are suitable for both experienced and novice anglers. Our guides will provide instruction and assistance as needed.
